Welcome to the Department of Administrative Hearings Public Health Hearings Division.

The Public Health Hearings Division hears cases initiated by the Department of Public Health.

The Cook County Department of Public Health is responsible for protecting and preventing illness, disability and death among all residents of suburban Cook County.

The Cook County Department of Public Health began sending Code violations to the Department of Administrative Hearings in June 2010.  Common complaints include:

  • Clean Indoor Air
  • Food Protection

Your Hearing location and court appointed date is written on your ticket or notice of violation. If you are unable to attend your hearing date on the date scheduled on your notice of violation or citation (“the ticket”), please contact the Department of Administrative Hearings at (312)603-2120 or click here for our Administrative Procedures. If you have missed your Hearing date, you may still have an opportunity to reschedule your Hearing by filing a Motion to Set-Aside the Default Judgment.
